"Securing our community as a safe haven from violence through prevention programs and intervention tactics"

LVCDC is partnering with the Safety Net Works, a State Initiative designed to stop the tragic and unacceptable loss of life of too many young people and instead, instill hope for the future.  The Initiative brings community and State resources together to help youth and young adults residing in Little Village and other communities enhance their opportunities for positive development into healthy and productive adulthood.

The Little Village Violence Prevention Collaborative is a collective of deeply committed organizations and individuals working toward a just and peaceful community through organizing, advocating and coordinating programs that seek to reduce violence and address issues of economic and social justice. The group is made up of over 20 community organizations, faith based institutions and residents.
